Description
Résumé:Electrotechnologies are systems and equipment that use electricity to produce and process mechanical parts and parts of machinery. They can also be used in industrial processes such as heat treatment in metals, and heating on surfaces of ferromagnetic materials efficiently allowing to reduce production costs, increasing productivity, as well as Improve safety and working conditions The manufacture of agricultural machinery components includes a large number of manufacturing processes such as: machining, brushing and surface heat treatments, among others. The vast majority of mechanical components are manufactured from alloyed steels, low-and medium-alloy carbon steels which are subsequently thermally treated to improve their mechanical properties such as surface hardness. One of the most used heat treatments is the surface hardening, which has as its main objective to toughen the surface of the mechanical component to improve its resistance to friction wear. Electromagnetic induction, or simply ¨ induction ¨, is a modern heating technique for electrically conductive materials such as metals obtaining thin layers of austenite in short treatment cycles. The results obtained in the memory are: The thermodynamic analysis of the work piece, the design of the inductor was made by the software COIL 32v 11.5, the simulation of thermal behavior was done with the software COMSOL Multiphysics and SOLIDWORKS. Key words: steels, electromagnetic induction, surface heat treatment.
