الملخص:Retinopathy of Prematurity is a vasoproliferative disorder that affects the retina and occurs exclusively in premature newborns, whose retinal maturation has not yet been completed. The main cause related to this condition is the inadequate use of oxygen in delivery rooms and neonatal care units. White newborns have a higher risk of developing retinopathy of prematurity compared to African American newborns. Additionally, premature babies who face other health problems, such as anemia, vitamin E deficiency, or breathing difficulties, are also at high risk for retinopathy of prematurity. The objective of this study was to apply a nursing care plan that addresses the physical, emotional, and educational needs of the patient and family. Favorable results were obtained thanks to the nursing care process that was carried out. Tools were used to propose nursing care processes through the NANDA, NIC and NOC taxonomies, diagnoses such as impairment of physical mobility, anxiety and ineffective impulse control were proposed, executed and the results are positive since they changed from a severely compromised to slightly compromised, interventions such as exercise therapies, music therapy and environmental therapy were also used to achieve these results that were obtained in a period of 10 weeks, and it was also very conducive to improving the patient's quality of life.
