Optimización del manejo de residuos hospitalarios en el distrito de Salud 23D03 La Concordia, Nueva Concordia, y alianza del Cantón La Concordia.

This research was conducted to design a management plan for hospital waste 23D03 District Health La Concordia, and its two operating units Concordia and New Alliance, where the characterization of the waste is carried out to determine types and quantities generated by the establishment in addition to a survey based on the Regulations for the Management of Infectious Waste Network for Health Services in Ecuador and methodology of Likert, applying the correlation coefficient (r) between (ẊMAX- xmin) it was applied with scores answering 25% higher and 25% lower, jointly test T Student that indicates the closest to 0 items incurred in good environmental practices, and the Friedman test that gives us the most discriminating items was applied. Characterization was obtained that the 23D03 The Concordia Health District is really a total waste generated generation 58.321 kg, consisting of: Biosanitary 36,989 kg, Sharps, 9,832 kg, 11.5 kg and pathological. P_1_1.- Are sharps are placed in disposable containers puncture-proof and accidental leaks: The results of the survey the most discriminating items that were obtained? P_2_8 Are the ducts for debris have the volume according to the amount of waste generated in the service during the working day? P_2_9 Are sharps containers are rigid, durable and opaque plastic? P_3_3 Does garbage collection and internal movement are performed at times that do not compromise the visits? P_4_3 Does floors whose surfaces are waterproof smooth finish, continuous, or have been waterproofed? P_4_4 Do you have fire extinguishing systems ?. From these results in terms of internal management verified that there is other shortcomings in terms of the separation, storage and containers, collection and internal transport, so the plan design of Hospital Waste Management District was held 23D03 Concord, Concord and New Alliance.
