الملخص:The varroasis is a parasitosis produced by the mite Varroa destructor, it is considered as the most harmful for bees, causing weakness in the hive, lowering the productivity and profitability of the producers. The investigation was carried out in the Aguas Frías area of the Mocache Canton in the months November - December 2018, the objective of this work was to evaluate four levels (75, 100, 125, 150 g.) Of oxalic acid and the chemical treatment based on amitraz for the control of the mite "Varroa destructor" in bees (Apis mellifera). with four repetitions for each treatment, which were applied every seven days, for oxalic acid three and for Amitraz two applications, using 20 hives (each hive being an experimental unit), taking into account the following variables; presence of the mite (%), effectiveness of the treatments (%), population status and cost of the treatments, applying a completely random design, the data obtained were analyzed in the statistical program infostat, to establish the differences between treatment means I applied Tukey variance analysis with a level of significance of 5%, in the mite percentage variable in beehives, the best result was T4, which managed to decrease the percentage from 6.36% to 0.35% , unlike the T5 that managed to reduce the percentage of the mite from 8.05% to 5.37%, as for the variable effectiveness of the treatments the T4 was the one who generated the highest percentage with an average of 89.75% and the less effective T5 (amitraz) with an average of 40.59%, for the population status variable it was determined that the population remained, with T5 being the highest cost with $ 4.60, but its effectiveness is lower in comparison with the T1 that is the most economical with $ 4.35, being the T4 the one that obtained the best results with a cost of $ 4.47.
