| Sumari: | This research was conducted at the Clinic Axe Valley, located 15 kilometers of Canoa via Jama, Canton San Vicente, Manabi Province; It aims to determine biosecurity and management of hospital wastes are applied by clinic staff Axe Valley Region San Vicente, Manabi Province. The research methods used were descriptive, deductive, inductive on the basis of this information allowed the analysis of primary and secondary information collected in order to achieve the objectives. The types of field research were the formula of the sample was applied considering a population of 18 employees and interview technique for health professionals, also observing what will determine the issue to investigate. Analyzed the results, it was established that prevailing knowledge of biosecurity and its relation to hand washing by 50%, respondents who apply biosecurity in their work are 78%. While 67% use the appropriate attire for work, respondents who know about the management of hospital waste is 72%; while applying biosecurity techniques in their daily lives are 78%. We also see that prevalent use of labeled bottles by 50% to eliminate waste, (embulos). Employees are more wary of infectious waste in the valley dispensary ax with a percentage of 72%, the personnel responsible for carrying waste to the dump with 72% is the cleaning staff KEYWORDS: Biosafety, hospital waste, infectious waste, dispensary, health personnel, patient. |
