Özet:The study began with the recollection of the seed from each of the genotypes to use and store it in the cellar of the Program for later sprouting potatoes. A total of 12 genotypes were used; 6 were promising native varieties of some communities in the study areas selected to present good content of iron and zinc in preliminary studies and the other 6 were improved by presenting good agronomic performance varieties. The tests were implemented in the parish of Pueblo Viejo belonging to the province of Tungurahua, in the parish of Gramapamba belonging to the province of Chimborazo and Cutuglagua parish belonging to the province of Pichincha. In each of the locations 36 plots (4.4 x 3.0 m), each plot represents a genotype and consisted of 30 plants were established. Design randomized complete block with 3 replications was used. The data collection of agronomic variables was carried out as planned. Immediately after harvest samples of each genotype to be sent to the laboratory for soil and nutrition lNlAP for examination and determination of the contents of iron, zinc and vitamin C. The Pope took hold of the data were taken the postharvest variables as dry matter. The results show that: in terms of agronomic performance genotype with better yield per plant in the combined analysis was the variety Pucashungo with an average of 2.24 kg / plant. In relation to the iron concentration in the combined analysis variety more content was Coneja negra variety, located on the first range averaging 29.17ppm. With respect to zinc content more content variety was the variety Superchola, with an average of 12.13 ppm being one of the most stable. With regard to vitamin C content more content variety was Yanashungo stood in the first rank with an average of 376.67 ppm.
