| Резюме: | This study aimed to determine the impacts caused by forest fires in four sites located in different types of vegetation cover, characterized in the Metropolitan District of Quito DMQ. The research identified major environmental impacts, socioeconomic impacts and problems arising from the effect on the soil quality, environmental goods and services that caused forest fires at selected sites "Guápulo" (hill Auqui 34, 93 ha); "Commune TolaChica" (hill Ilaló 261.65 ha), "Belen" (Pifo with 1.54 ha) and "El Ingenio" (Puembo 729.09 ha). To determine the main environmental impacts the methodology developed by Haltenhoff H., 2005. For the assessment of the damage was used, we worked on a satellite image Rapid Eye with RGB combination of bands and a base map that was generated from processing an ortho mosaic DMQ. To process information 10.1 ARC-GIS was used. Based on this tool characterization of the vegetation cover of the selected sites and benchmarking with existing vegetation 6 months after forest fires was determined. It was recorded for all affected sites: A total of 16 families and 39 species, with families: Poaceae, Asteraceae, Solanaceae and Fabaceae the most .En each of the plant cover losses calculation was made to: Biodiversity, Accumulated carbon, Regulation Water, Wood and non-wood products. The restoration value reached US dollars 11'342.369, 07. The total value of the losses includes the cost of restoration and direct losses reached USD dollars 12'273.417, 7864 value. Finally determined variations in pH of soils that were affected by the fires, also the provision of nutrients increased at sites with fire as the cause of the accumulation and fastest of these nutrients by oxidation action of fire. |
