Díametros minímos y máximos de aprovechamiento en plantaciones de Ochroma pyramidale (Cav. ex Lam.) Urb. (BALSA) en la Provincia de Los Ríos, 2020.

The cultivation of the Raft is a forest species of great importance in the economy of our country due to the strong demand that there is in recent years, emphasizing that it is one of the timber resources of greater use due to its rapid growth compared to other species. This project has been developed with the purpose of knowing the averages in which the Raft can be marketed, for this, 12 sawmills located in the cantons of Quevedo, Buena Fe and Montalvo were analyzed, they stated that the standing tree is used from 25 to 35% and through applied surveys, it was observed that the establishments perform their measurements in span and their minimum diameter is 15.94 (21.25cm), at a value of approximately $ 3.67. In the national and international market we can see that the wood is made in strips of different sizes such as 1 ¾ ”; 2, ¼ "; 2, ¾ "; 3, ¼ "; the 3, ¾ ”, with a length of 1.30cm, obtaining a greater reception, the same ones that are sold in Board Foot (Bft), where 424 is a cubic meter and is sold at $ 1.20, analyzing the values in averages shows us that each cubic meter has a cost of $ 88.34, which results in a gross profit of $ 508.83 and a net profit of $ 420.49. The information obtained in this research can be used as a reference to encourage entrepreneurial projects since they generate a very high profit margin.
