Tóm tắt: | The evaluation of drinking water quality in rural areas presents significant challenges in terms of availability, quality and treatment. The Junta Administradora de Agua Potable “Federico Intriago” supplies groundwater. The diagnosis reveals deficiencies in the monitoring of water from catchment to consumption, together with the lack of treatment prior to distribution. Interviews, surveys, visits and monitoring of 24 water samples were conducted for eight weeks during the dry season to collect data on efficiency, quality and risks in the supply. Social perception was evaluated with 120 users, obtaining a reliability of 0.83 using Cronbach's Alpha. According to the analysis, 92.62% are satisfied with the organoleptic quality, while 9.2% do not agree with the quality of the water collected. In addition, 59.84% are satisfied with the quantity of water supplied, while 6.56% consider it insufficient. The analysis of physicochemical and microbiological parameters showed regular water quality (ICA NSF) (F=1.71; p=0.204), due to contaminants from septic tanks and nearby agricultural activities. ANOVA with Tukey test revealed significant differences in pH (F=5.16; p=0.015) in the system stages. Non-compliance with quality standards was identified at all stages, with high levels of nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, conductivity, biological oxygen demand, salinity and fecal coliforms. Risks were detected at all stages, influenced by factors such as the lack of sewage, use of agrochemicals, and lack of maintenance. The proposed water safety plan seeks to improve water quality through control measures and corrective actions for each identified risk. These actions, supported by a specialized technical team, will be implemented in the short, medium and long term to guarantee safe drinking water. |
