| Summary: | The LAMP isothermal amplification technique was based on extracting DNA through the TENs protocol from lung tissue (lymph nodes) of slaughtered cattle, to determine the prevalence of bovine tuberculosis. The general objective of this investigation was to calculate the prevalence of bovine tuberculosis using the isothermal amplification technique in the municipal channel of the Quevedo canton, located in the province of Los Ríos. To this effect, 400 samples were taken from cattle that were analyzed during eight weeks in the facilities of the Molecular Biology Laboratory of the State Technical University of Quevedo, which were placed in the electrophoresis chamber and the electrodes were connected to the power source. at 100 volts per hour to finally observe the results in the documentary photo: 214 samples positive to bovine tuberculosis equivalent to 53.5% and 186 negative samples reflecting a prevalence of 46.5%; It was also possible to establish that 48 of the analyzed specimens were males and 52% females, the Brahman race topped the list with 27% followed by the Holstein breed with 72 (18%) prevalence. It was determined that when performing the economic analysis using the TENs and LAMP protocol, each sample showed a value of $ 1.81. In conclusion, the effectiveness and the benefit of the LAMP technique for the extraction of DNA due to its high specificity and speed under conditions Isothermal that does not require reagents and sophisticated equipment such as thermal cycler since it can be done by means of a water bath.
