Análisis comparativo económico de dos paquetes tecnológicos para la producción de maíz del híbrido Dekalb 7088 en el recinto La Victoria del cantón Mocache

The present investigation was carried out in order to economically compare two technological packages for the production of corn of the hybrid Dekalb 7088 in the La Victoria site of the Mocache canton. For this, 16 farmers dedicated to the production of corn were surveyed in the La Victoria area of the Mocache canton, which is located at Km 4.4 of the Jauneche - Palenque road, province of Los Ríos. The main results showed that 62.50% of farmers preferred to use the Ecuaquímica technological package that distributes the Dekalb 7088 seed, due to the good quality and high levels of yields achieved. Regarding the price of technological packages, farmers who use the Ecuaquímica indicated that according to their perception is expensive, while those who produce traditionally, argue that their technological package is of regular price. Farmers who use the technological Ecuaquímica package spend more to produce per hectare, whose amount ranges between $ 1251.00 and $ 1400.00 due to the inputs that are applied higher price, while those who produce traditionally invest between $ 950.00 and $ 1100.00 per cycle, by using lower cost inputs or even fewer inputs. The performance achieved with the Ecuaquímica technological package is greater compared to the traditional one, ranging between 171 and 190 qq/ha, while with traditional between 130 and 150 qq/ha. The differences in profitability between both technological packages are evident, evidencing that the traditional package allows obtaining a return of 56.58%, while that of Ecuaquímica reaches 76.60%, which represents a considerable income while the extension is planted. Therefore, it is recommended to use the technological Ecuaquímica package that, although it requires more investment, also increases the yield and profitability per unit area.
