Περίληψη:The field phase of this research where lettuce was grown, one of the most consumed vegetables worldwide for its characteristic taste and color, using hydroponic systems that make the management of this crop organic, by the application of increasing nutritive concentrations at greenhouse level. The objective was to evaluate the production process of lettuce under hydroponic conditions with variable levels of nutritional solution under greenhouse conditions. The study was carried out in a small greenhouse assembled for this purpose, located next to the building of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, UTEQ. The treatments were represented by three nutritious concentrations that were distributed in the greenhouse according to the completely random design with 3 repetitions. Each experimental unit consisted of 16 plants. To evaluate the effect of nutritional solutions, data were recorded for the following variables: number of plants that did not survive transplantation, root growth rate (cm/week), root length to harvest (cm), number of healthy leaves at harvest, total number of leaves produced (including healthy and sick), length of leaves at harvest (cm), weight of fresh root (grams), weight of dry root (grams), weight of plant at harvest (grams) and economic analysis whose variable got the most response the T1 getting favorable gross income and the cost benefit ratio showed that the earnings for each dollar invested is $ 0,34. The results of the variables under evaluation revealed that the growth of lettuce was the same with any nutrient concentration, however differences in variables such as root growth rate (cm/week) were presented with 1,37 cm which was superior to the other treatments that showed growth of 0,97 to 1,10 cm per week. The absence of statistical difference between treatments indicates that the most diluted solution in this case T1 (Standard concentration) is sufficient to try the culture of hydroponic lettuce. Observations during the study suggest the need for a thorough control of the temperature and environmental humidity in the greenhouse, as lettuce is quite sensitive to the extreme variation of these parameters as could be seen from the study. Key words: lettuce, hydroponics, increasing concentrations.
