Opis
Sažetak:Pollination is one of the most important practices in cocoa cultivation; For this purpose, with the objective of determining the self-compatibility, and evaluating the flower morphology, was carried out in the experimental farm "La Represa", Quevedo, Ecuador. For this purpose, a completely randomized DCA design was used, with forty treatments, considering as treatments the hybrids of cocoa used, with three replicates. To determine the differences between the means, Tukey's multiple range test was applied (P≤0.05). Manual pollination tests were performed to determine the percentage of fertilization with fifteen flowers per treatment. The percentage of pollination was higher in T26 and T38 treatments with 100% of autocompatibility, followed by T15 and T35 with 80% of autocompatibility. We also recorded variables such as the length and width of sepal and petal, length of peduncle, length of staminoid and pistil, and flower weight where different hybrids stood out, such as T1 and T11 for length and width of the sepal with 0.27 And 0.82 mm respectively. In the length and width of the petal the treatments T10 and T26 were highlighted with 0.25 mm. In the length of the peduncle the T20 with 1.81 mm and T6 with 0.62 mm for the length of the staminoid. The length of the pistil, the T10 obtained the highest index with 0.25 mm. Despite the weight of the flower, the treatments T13 and T20 were highlighted, registering the highest average with 0.065 g, in relation to the other hybrids studied.
