Yhteenveto:The study of the so-called Zona undelimited Manga del Cura was conducted to determine the environmental degradation and its impact on agro socioeconomic status of the population with the construction of the dam Daule Peripa. The research area is located between the province of: Manabi, Guayas, Los Rios and Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas; It consists of 134 precincts in a land area of 623.07 km². The main strategy used to obtain the information was the survey and direct observation. The population was based on information from the System Identification and Selection of Beneficiaries of Social Programs (Selben), from which a sample size of 119 households was obtained. The results of the properly coded surveys were tabulated statistically using SPSS. It was determined that cocoa farming is the best net income to $ 1,115.31 usd, however poverty indicators show that the inhabitants of the zone delimited Manga del Cura themselves are poor and are under the poverty line with $ 0.70 USD. Environmental quality is very low, since 70.59% of the producers of the study area do not rest or rotate crops. The 82.40% of farmers apply chemicals of which only 22.45% use protection when handling, 68.18% use a mask, gloves and 13.64% use in smaller percentages wear glasses and rags. The quantization matrix of environmental impacts indicates that the impact component as shares by operation of the dam Daule Peripa was higher with higher than allowed in the sum of all major positive, negative and neutral values and values greater than 55 permitted in total sum of positive, negative and neutral, above 60 impacts. While values for the quality of life that was half the sum of the impacts gave 34.57 ie located within the major and minor parameters 33 to 67 for 0 to 99.
