| Achoimre: | The research is based on the Human Papilloma Virus aimed at users attending the consultation Pucayacu Health Center, Canton Mana, Cotopaxi Province, with the information it possessed people about the disease, it was identified by determining and the needs of the knowledge of it, in the town of sexually active women who came to the health center Pucayacu, the information is obtained by applying a survey to collect important data for research. He showed that women with high degree of readiness 10.4% two years ago Pap made, while the 4.09% high it made 6 months ago .This means that women become more aware of high risk one Pap test every six months means not done. Women from 36 to 40 years 9.70% had knowledge on the importance of gynecological examination and this makes them more responsibility in this test. It showed that women between 15 and 19 years 11.94% not the gynecological exam performed by fear, shame 7.09% and 8.21% due to ignorance. Women 25 to 29 years 11.59% think that HPV is transmitted at a higher rate to have sex. Women 15 to 19 years 12.69% have more knowledge that HPV causes cancer. It was found that women with no education the 30.97% do not know how HPV is avoided, while the primary and secondary 17.16% indicated that avoiding promiscuity. Women with high school degree the 29.85% if they are aware of the existence of HPV, while 20.52% of illiterate know that there is no vaccine. Keywords.
