Adicionar Tag | Resumo: | This research addresses the problem of urban mobility in the cities of the province of Los Ríos, which have gone through their worst crisis, aggravated by the political-economic scenario that has affected one of the basic services of primary need: public transportation. Citizens have had to opt for alternative means of transportation, such as trucks, pickup trucks and motorcycles, among others, putting their personal safety at risk. The Canton of Buena Fe does not escape this reality (low wages and salaries, availability of cash, difficult communication between cities, among others), so this study describes the process of implementing an alternative non-motorized means of transportation, in which part of the affected users participate. The methodology includes: 1) delimitation of the study area, 2) field survey, 3) needs study, 4) selection of the routes with the highest degree of feasibility, 5) geometric design of the selected network of bicycle paths, since the use of the bicycle as a means of transportation would facilitate the intercommunication in this avenue, reducing the impact of the increase in the cost of public transportation, which would considerably benefit cyclists |
