Gestión de inventario y su incidencia en la rentabilidad de la empresa frioxtreme cantón Quevedo, año 2023

This research focuses on inventory management and its impact on the profitability of Frioxtreme. The main objective of the study is to evaluate how proper inventory management directly influences the organization's operational efficiency and financial performance. To this end, a mixed correlational approach was used without altering the variables studied, applying qualitative and quantitative methods and techniques for data collection, including surveys and interviews with customers and employees. The results showed that 72% of respondents expressed a moderate-to-high level of satisfaction with the service, although areas for improvement were also identified: 48% of customers reported experiencing issues due to a lack of available products, which led to partial refunds and affected the customer experience. Furthermore, the analysis of the financial statements for the years 2023 and 2024 allowed us to observe changes in the company's liquidity between the two periods. It was also evident that certain products stored in inventory lack demand, resulting in unnecessary costs and capital losses, as they neither generate revenue nor contribute to productivity. In conclusion, poor inventory management negatively impacts a company's profitability by tying up resources, leading to risk and diminished service quality.
