Shrnutí:The lack of adherence to medication, especially among older adults with memory difficulties, is a significant health concern. Current solutions, such as smart medication dispensers and healthcare systems, have limitations, including technological dependency and privacy concerns. This research project addresses these issues through a methodological approach that includes a systematic literature review, conducted to establish guidelines and evaluate them. The design of the medication management system was guided by the TDDM4IoTS development methodology, along with user feedback, and incorporated features such as patient identification and support for various medications based on guidelines from scientific literature. Prioritizing features identified during the research process, such as implementing a software application, visual alarms, and auditory alarms, this project seeks to offer a comprehensive and adaptable solution. These functionalities are designed to optimize medication adherence and improve the well-being of people with mild cognitive impairment, providing a safe and efficient experience in managing medical treatments. The study results, evaluated through the technology acceptance model, demonstrated high user acceptance of the system, highlighting perceived usefulness, ease of use, and a positive attitude toward its integration into daily life. Participants agreed that the dispenser would significantly improve their adherence to treatment.
