Tóm tắt:The work was done in eight communes of parish Colonche, canton Santa Elena, Ecuador, with the objective of identifying the condition of management, health, genetics, infrastructure, commercialization, reproduction and establish the limiting factors which is presented by native pig in the system of traditional production and determine the socioeconomic situation of producers of pigs in after courtyard. Observation and semi structured interviews were done in 88 domestic units which were selected through simple random sampling. the production of the native pigs constitutes a strategy of subsistence due to its known management (63,36 %), they reproduce with in less than 5 years (44,32%) and within 5 to 10 years (29,55%), the majority reproduce 1 to 4 pigs per year (87,50%), and 88,64% don not receive any technical assistance, there is ignorance about reproductive aspects genetics, sanitation and there is low nutritional status, which lead to the size of the brood as 4 to 5 pigs litter / (71,73%). the activities of sanitary and parasite prevention are accomplished in 45,45% and 48,86% respectively. The alimentation is based on the kitchen waste (26, 31%) and banana (26, 31%). The infrastructure is deficient (floor of dirk and stake) (78, 41%). There is a consanguineous cross between siblings and father and daughter (91, 05%). The limiting factories manifested by communes are lack of technical assistance (29, 55%), lack of programs of capacitation to the producers (22, 73%), limited sources of alimentation (21, 59%) and consanguineous crosses (11,36%). The principal threat is the inadequate disposal of solid waste (buried, thrown in garbage and ditches), which produces discomfort in the community and environmental risk due to bad smell, the warning from the environmental authorities are verbal (63, 64%), as a solution to these problems, capacitation and technical assistance is recommended to the members of the communities with the objective of improvement of the system of production of traditional pigs
