| Zusammenfassung: | This research work was carried out in Babahoyo city, with the aim of determining environmental affectations from the activities of vehicle washers and oilers of water bodies. These businesses are media where liquid and solid waste generated pollutants such as oils and fats burned in the absence of proper management cause great harm to the sewers to water bodies where flow and soil where pollutants are filtered. We worked with three vehicle washers and oilers that do not have the relevant environmental license granted by the Ministry of Environment of Ecuador. As data collection instruments were used surveys with owner’s vehicle washers and oilers, business workers and people living near them; Leopold Matrix Environmental Impact Assessment and analysis of water determining residual contaminants therein. The information obtained in the surveys and Leopold Matrix was processed in Excel spreadsheet, which caused the instrument panel design and graphics appropriate for research. As an alternative proposal presents an Environmental Management Plan (EMP), with the objective that vehicle washers and oilers in Babahoyo city implement it, and prevent and mitigate the negative environmental affectations phases present in the operation of these business. All this will allow them to continue contributing to local development, thus achieving a harmony between the natural and built space. |
