Control terapéutico de la coccidiosis porcina (isospora suis) en cerdos landrace x pietrain en la etapa de destete en la finca “El Congo” del Cantón El Empalme

The investigation had as objective to Evaluate the effect of Toltrazuril (BAYCOX®) in the control of swinish (Isospora suis) coccidiosis in pigs Landrace x Pietrain in the predestete stage in the property "Congo", of the el Empalme. It was used an experiment of comparison of stockings of independent samples and an analysis of student T to demonstrate if difference exists among the application or not of BAYCOX® on the swinish coccidiosis. Four litters were used with a total of 42 pigs. The evaluated variables were gain of weight until the weaning, percentage of animals with diarrhea, survival and economic analysis. The therapeutic application of the anticoccidial (BAYCOX®) improved (p <0.05) the gain of weight in the period pre-weaning in comparison to the control without application 37,25% more in the daily gain of weight. 50% of the pigs without treatment anticoccidial presents diarrheas of which 44% dies and the remaining one has 29,68% less weight that those where he/she didn't show up diarrheas. With the treatment anticoccidial a percentage of survival of 100% was obtained in comparison to the group control where 81,82% was obtained. In the economic analysis the use of the treatment anticoccidial Toltrazuril (BAYCOX®) obtained the economic biggest benefit with a relationship I benefit cost of 1,40 and a profitability of 39,57%.
