Keywords: Prodeuteq fertilizer, substrates, germination, planting.El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar los efectos de tres tipos de sustratos en el crecimiento inicial de Ochroma pyramidale (Cav.ex Lam.) a nivel de vivero, se estableció un Diseño Completamente al Azar con 4 tratamientos y 3 repeticiones, en el T1 es la mezcla de 25% de arena y 75% de tierra negra, el T2 25% de cascarilla y 75% de tierra negra, T3 25% de abono prodeuteq y 75% de tierra negra y T0 100% tierra negra. Luego de obtener los datos, se procedió la comparación de medias de interacciones se realizó con la prueba de Tukey (p <0.05); mediante los resultados obtenidos en la variable altura el T3 demostró ser mayor efectivo en el crecimiento (10,31 cm), el diámetro todos los tratamientos demostraron que no hay diferencias significativas o mayor efecto (0,02 cm), el número de hojas fue al contrario ya que el T1 demostró obtener mayor eficiencia con una media de 4,61, longitud de raíz el T3 obtuvo (13,67), porcentaje de sobrevivencia el sustrato que tuvo menor incidencia de mortalidad fue el T3 (84,33 %). Y Los análisis del índice de calidad de las plántulas de Ochroma pyramidale, determino que no existen diferencias significativas entre los resultados obtenidos, pero demostrando si mayor efectividad en el T0.
