Ամփոփում:The research was carried out in the Microbiology Laboratory of the UTEQ, focused on the objectives of isolating and identifying bacterial strains with the capacity to biodegrade polyethylene fractions, morphologically and molecularly characterize the bacterial isolates with polyethylene degrading capacity to evaluate the degradation of polyethylene by polyethylene. isolated strains. A completely randomized DCA design was applied for the morphological characterization and the biodegradation tests of the bacterial strains. A molecular characterization was carried out by means of ERIC-PCR generating a phylogenetic tree of the different isolates carrying out biodegradation tests of the polyethylene with the isolated strains. The interpretation and analysis of the results allowed to conclude the following: the bacterial isolates with polyethylene degrading capacity correspond to a bacterial consortium due to their molecular differences according to molecular characterization ERIC-PCR, the AP-5 strain obtained the highest average degradation reducing the weight of the polyethylene sample in 2.8 g 9 days after inoculation. Keywords: strain, bacterial, polyethylene, soil.
