| সংক্ষিপ্ত: | The research was carried out at the Experimental Farm "La Maria", owned by the State Technical University Quevedo (UTEQ), located at km 71/2 pathway Quevedo- Mocache province of Los Rios, whose geographical location of 1 6 '13 "south latitude and 79 º 29' 22" W and a height of 73 meters. The investigation lasted 56 days. We evaluated three tropical forage, the treatments were: T1 = balanced ad libitum; T2 = 15 g + mulberry balanced ad libitum; T3 = 15 g + caraca balanced ad libitum and T4 = 15 g + balanced buttercup ad libitum. Using 48 male guinea pigs 30 days of age with an average weight of 363.54 g. We performed a randomized complete (DCA) with six replicates, the experimental unit consisted of two animals. We applied the multiple range test of Tukey (P≤ 0.05). The variables under study were balanced consumption, feed consumption, feed intake, weight gain, feed conversion and carcass yield. The profitability of the treatments were determined using the cost-benefit ratio. Increased consumption of forage, weight gain, carcass yield and profitability recorded streamline the treatment T2 and T3 (37.83 and 36.85 g DM animal-1 d-1). T1 and T2 (10.62 and 9.53 g animal-1 d-1) T2, T3 and T1 (71.93, 66.14 and 64.28%) and T2 (64.48%), respectively. Keywords: Forage, shrubs, food, guinea pigs. |
