Summary: | The chame (Dormitator latifrons R.) is a native species of Ecuador, it represents one of the most interesting aquaculture options to produce, due to its resistance to diseases and its feeding mainly of detritus, however it has only been cultivated in a traditional way, reason why which was proposed this investigation with the purpose of evaluating the growth of chame (Dormitator latifrons R.) under three densities of seeding, with biofloc technology. The research project was carried out in the "La María" Experimental Farm owned by the State Technical University of Quevedo, located at Km 7.5 of Vía Quevedo - El Empalme, Mocache canton, Los Ríos province, three planting densities were plated , represented by three treatments T1 (20 fish / m2), T2 (40 fish / m2) and T3 (60 fish / m2), a completely randomized design (DCA) was used, every seven days the weight variables were recorded ( g), total length (cm) and height (cm) of the fish and daily physical-chemical parameters of the water were recorded: Temperature (° C), pH, dissolved oxygen (ppm), total ammonia nitrogen (ml) and solids in suspension (ml). With the evaluated variables, the following zootechnical growth parameters were described and calculated: Food consumed (AC), absolute growth rate (TCA), specific growth rate (TCE), feed conversion (CA), condition factor (FC) and survival (HIS P). The difference of means were |
