Shrnutí:Palliative care are those activities carried out in patients and their families to improve their quality of life and complications associated with potentially incurable and fatal diseases, such as cancer. The present case study focused on a 53-year-old patient with end-stage ovarian cancer plus bladder fistula who came to a hospital unit because of severe pain, so the main objective was to apply nursing interventions with a palliative care approach, using the NANDA, NOC and NIC taxonomies; The research methodology considered was the nursing care process and assessment by functional patterns according to Marjory Gordon's model; data were obtained through questioning, cephalocaudal assessment and information provided by the clinical history. The results were partially achieved due to the patient's terminal condition, so the interventions for pain relief and management of the elimination resulting from the bladder fistula, as well as self-care in feeding and hygiene, contributed to guarantee an optimal hospital stay. Finally, pain was assessed according to the visual analog scale, obtaining a score of 9, which was relieved by means of pain management with pharmacological and non-pharmacological help, and comfort and emotional support were provided to improve her resilience.
