| Sumari: | This research was carried out in the greenhouse of the Biotechnology Laboratory of the State Technical University of Quevedo, located at km 1.5 via Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas. The general objective was to vegetatively propagate the species Cedrela odorata (Cedar) with the application of naphthaleneacetic acid (ANA) and indolbutiric acid (AIB) hormonal rooting stimulators. Different concentrations of hormones were analyzed, both Indol Butyric Acid (AIB) and Naphthalene Acetic Acid (ANA) 97% and> 98% purity respectively. Then the concentrations were packaged in hermetic labeled bottles. River sand formed by small grains of about 0.05 to 2 mm in diameter was used, virtually does not contain mineral nutrients and has no buffer capacity (Buffer) or cation exchange capacity, the sand was disinfected with fungicide (vitavax) with a concentration of 2g / l. five days prior to the establishment of the experiment to prevent possible fungal attack. Seedlings were obtained by means of seeds extracted from trees with good sanitary appearance (free of pests and diseases) and good phenotypic characteristics. After obtaining the plants, a cut was made in the terminal bud to stimulate the plant to generate shoots of the axillary buds that later served for the investigation. To analyze the experimental conditions, three factors were considered: Type of substrates (sand), ANA hormone concentration (500, 1000, 1,500, and 0 mg Kg-1) and AIB hormone concentration (500, 1000, 1500 and 0 mg Kg-1), giving the combination of 4 treatments, consisting of five repetitions and four units of observations, each in a completely randomized manner, the same was done with the help of the statistical program InfoStat. To establish statistical differences between treatments, the Tukey multiple range test was performed (p≥0.05). The data with zero values were transformed with the formula: √√(+0,5). .
