| Crynodeb: | Despite low production levels that is evidenced in the culture, has studied the use of plant hormones to enhance production, which has achieved good results, so it is essential to study different cultures in order to measure the effect on productivity in this case the peanut crop which is a grain of high demand nationwide. Whereas foregoing the present investigation was conducted to determine the effects of phytohormones in the agronomic performance of peanut crop. El Empalme, Los Rios province - the test in the "La Maria" UTEQ property located at kilometer 7 of Quevedo route was established. One randomized complete block design was used in 2x5 factorial arrangement with 3 replications, planting two varieties: INIAP INIAP 380 and 381, and applications of auxin, cytokinins, gibberellins, Evergreen + Menorel and an absolute control were made for each variety. As for the agronomic performance it was observed that applying Evergreen + Menorel occurred fastest growing plants in statistical equality with the application of cytokinins in the number of pods per plant a significant increase in 72.82% with the application of cytokinins was observed compared with the control without application of plant hormones. The variety that higher yield was recorded INIAP 381 with 2485.7 kg / ha, while the level of plant hormones cytokinins application was the most productive with 3009.9 Kg. By analyzing the interactions was noted that the plant variety INIAP 381 cytokinin applications the highest performance with 3154.8, which in turn generated the highest returns with a benefit / cost ratio of 2.19 was obtained. From the results it can be concluded that applying cytokinins regardless of the variety sown, it is possible boost crop yields of corn and generate a high rate of profit.
