Elaboración del plan de buenas prácticas de turismo sostenible en los establecimientos hoteleros de la ciudad de Quevedo, 2017

The present investigation is oriented to promote the good practices of sustainable tourism in the hotels of the Quevedo city, with the purpose of obtaining important benefits for the sustainable tourist development, from the improvement of the economic resources of the city and of the hotel establishments, as well as to generate a significant contribution to the mitigation of damages caused by the tourism sector to the environment and it’s sociocultural environment. The main objective was the elaboration of a plan for the implementation of good practices of sustainable tourism that will serve as a guide to the hotel establishments of the Quevedo city, the same that was achieved through the evaluation and diagnosis of the current state of the hotels and the determination of the tourists perception regarding the sustainability practices used by the hotels in their management, and from this a proposal was proposed to obtain a certification of sustainable tourism. The research project consists of seven chapters in which different subjects were studied according to the importance they report to the study, which was limited to market research in the ten hotels in the city of Quevedo. In chapter one, the problem of applying good practices and obtaining certifications of sustainable tourism in the hotels of the Quevedo city was identified, the corresponding diagnosis and prognosis was elaborated, and then the objectives of the study and its respective justification were raised. Chapter two shows the theoretical contextualization of the research, which consists of a conceptual framework and a referential framework, on which the bases of the present investigation were based. Chapter three gives a description of the methodology applied in the study, which details the types and methods of research used, exposes the sources of research collection, design and research instruments and finally describes the human resources and materials that were used in this research projec. xi In chapter four the results obtained through this study and its respective discussion are recorded, based on which the conclusions and recommendations that the author details in chapter five were elaborated.
