Summary: | The purpose of the present investigation was to establish the impact of the use of three organic stimulants and two fertilization programs on the development, production and resistance to black Sigatoka in relation to the number of leaves per plant in the banana crop. The trial was conducted during the months of January to August 2017, in the grounds of the Treasury. Yamile, located at km 27 of the Quevedo road - Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, province of Los Ríos. For the establishment of the experiment a completely randomized design was proposed with 6 treatments in three repetitions. The treatments studied were: 150% potassium fertilization, 100% potassium fertilization, Kelpak, Agrostemin, NBO and one control (fertilization plan of the farm). The main results showed that potassium fertilization at 150% produced more leaves at calving with 15.4, being the treatments of potassium fertilization at 100% and Agrostemín with which the plants arrived with a greater number of leaves at harvest with an average of 7.5 leaves, each one, confirming less foliage loss due to Black Sigatoka attacks. 100% potassium fertilization produced a greater number of total leaves with 30.3 leaves per plant, surpassing the absolute control in 3.2 leaves. The plan of 100% potassium fertilization produced a greater increase in the height and diameter of the pseudostem, in such a way that it showed taller and thicker calving plants with 4.27 m in height and 26.7 cm in diameter. The clusters showed a greater weight when applying the plan of potassium fertilization to 100% with 32.8 Kg, with an average of 8 hands per cluster, reflecting a productivity of 1.6 boxes per bunch, the latter being equal to those obtained with potassium fertilization 150% and Agrostemín.
