| Özet: | The research was conducted in two stages, the first at the Experimental Farm “La Represa” and the second in the Biotechnology Laboratory of Quevedo State Technical University, in 2010, with the aim of developing a methodology for induction and rooting epicormic shoots selected trees of Cordia alliodora (laurel) using growth regulators. The cytokinin concentrations used for the investigation of the first phase were 0, 3000, 6000, 9000 1500 mg kg-1 of BAP and 1000, 2000, 3000 mg kg-1 of IAA. Using a DCA with seven treatments and three repetitions. Considering each tree as a repetition. The auxin concentrations used for the investigation of the second phase were 0, 1000, and 1500 mg kg-1 NAA and IBA, bifactorial design using nine treatments with five replicates and five repeat units. We evaluated the survival, rooting percentage, root number, length and strength at 45 days. In general, the best response of the first phase of epicormic shoot induction was obtained at concentrations of 9000 mg kg-1 of BAP + 3000 mg kg-1 of IAA and in the second phase of epicormic shoot rooting was obtained in concentration of 1500 mg kg-1 ANA + 1500 mg kg-1 of IBA for all variables evaluated. This research demonstrates that the use of cytokinins (BAP and IAA) and auxin (NAA and IBA) was effective for induction and epicormic shoot rooting, it has great importance for the genetic improvement of forest trees. |
