總結:The following research project aims to investigate the different aspects related to the mechanical transformation and commercialization of wood in the Pichincha canton, province of Manabí, where surveys were carried out in 7 establishments differentiated according to their categories that are volume of purchase and sale of wood, number of temporary and permanent employees, origin and final consumption of wood among others. Among the machinery used within the establishments the most used is the circular saw used for the mechanical transformation of products in the warehouses and carpentry / furniture, referring to forest species could determine that Schizolobium parahyba Vell. S.F.Blake (pachaco), Samanea saman Jacq. Merr. (saman), Tectona grandis L.f. (teak), Roseodendron donnell-smithii Rose Miranda (white guayacan), Cordia alliodora (Ruiz & Pav.) Oken (laurel); Ochroma pyramidale (CAV.EX LAM.) URB. (Raft) Triplaris cumingiana FISCH. & C.A.MEY. (Fernan Sánchez) are the most commercialized in the Pichincha cantón. In the surveys carried out at the 7 establishments with their respective categories, there were 4 carpentry / furniture stores, 2 mixed and one deposit, being the rural areas of barraganete, cane and Santa Rosa of the Pichincha canton the ones that supply the most wood (57.14%) of the total of establishments, considering environmental aspects as important. As the establishments do not have wood commercialization permits, they obtain their raw material directly from the farmer, which does not require legal norms because they extract the wood from their territories and in smaller quantities in order to satisfy their economic needs taking into account that this activity is not the main one to be able to obtain economic benefits. It was learned that the main buyers are the final consumers since it is handled by orders transforming the raw material into products adding an added value and that the total monthly volume (m3) was 92.89 in purchase and 33.37 in sale.
