Resumo:Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) in the lower extremities is a chronic condition that has a considerable impact on the quality of life of individuals. It is characterized by obstruction of blood flow in peripheral arteries, which leads to ischemia and dysfunction of the tissues involved. This is a retrospective clinical case study that deals with a patient with bilateral supracondylar amputation due to PAD, with an evolution time of 5 years. The objective of the case was to implement a nursing care process based on the Marjory Gordon model. The interventions performed by the nursing staff were designed to promote the patient's recovery and improve her overall health. A comprehensive evaluation was carried out, which included cephalocaudal assessment, data collection through medical history. This study adopted an assessment methodology based on Marjory Gordon's functional patterns, which facilitated the development of nursing care plans based on the NANDA, NIC and NOC frameworks, supported by scientific evidence. Several nursing diagnoses were identified, such as constipation, risk of pressure injuries, impaired physical mobility, and hopelessness. The proposed interventions included the improvement of habits through education of the patient and his family, the execution of a passive exercise plan and emotional attention in the face of hopelessness, essential to improve quality of life and prevent complications in patients with PAD. The results obtained reflected a positive response to the treatment and an improvement in the patient's health, evidenced by a significant recovery and an increase in her general well-being.
