Calidad de agua de consumo humano en el proceso de captación, tratamiento, distribución y consumo en la parroquia venus del río Quevedo del cantón Quevedo, provincia de Los Ríos

The objective of this research was to assess the quality of water for human consumption in the process of collecting, processing, distribution and consumption in the community Venus del Rio Quevedo, Quevedo district, Los Rios province 2015. status the phases of the system of drinking water through observation, an interview applied to the director of public drinking water company of the city showed that in capturing only dosed with chlorine gas and the water distributed contrasted with public perception on the quality of service, which showed that the water received presents smell, taste and color. The physicochemical and microbiological characterization of the quality of drinking water in the stages of collection, distribution and consumption allowed establish water quality by comparing the results with environmental quality standards and effluent discharge Water Resources, 0.28 Ministerial Agreement WHO and Standards INEN 1108 (2011): Water denoting breach of the standards set for physico-chemical parameters such as apparent color, turbidity, total dissolved solids, manganese, iron, residual chlorine. In addition, the Water Quality Index was applied; as GWQI, NSF and Dinius; who certified that capture the GWQI a value of 146 was obtained, 73 according to the classification is unsuitable for human consumption, the consumption stage, the NSF was applied whose values ranged from 56 to 75 being poor quality, in Dinius they found values 73-80 which is slightly contaminated and 82-84 acceptable. To prepare the multivariate analysis the following statistical techniques as analysis of major, factor and cluster to see the level of similarity or correlation distance of each other components are applied. With the results a proposal of a Manual of Good Practices for the proper domestic use of water for human consumption in the parish Venus Canton River Quevedo Quevedo was developed; use areas, like the kitchen, bathroom, laundry, gardening, watering street, elevated tanks and cleaning floors identified. Risk points was determined both as water wastage and pollution where stand more waste kitchen, bathroom and laundry. For each area control measures was established.
