Opis
Sažetak:The analysis of aquatic macroinvertebrates as bioindicators of water quality and the influence of soil uses in the el Barro micro-water, located in the canton Quevedo, allowed to know the prevalence of macroinvertebrate families (MAIA) based on land uses: Agricultural, Forest and Mine. The project was developed in December, January and February (2020-2021), for which 3 sampling points were identified per coverage, with a distance of 200m upstream and downstream, having a total of 9 points. The methodology applied was developed in two phases: the first is based on field sampling (macroinvertebrate collection and water sampling) for the analysis of chemical physical parameters: pH, electrical conductivity, dissolved oxygen, total dissolved solids, temperature, and application of indices: river habitat (IHF) and river forest quality (QBR); In the second phase, a statistical analysis was carried out to determine the diversity indices: Shannon– Weaver (H) , Simpson (I-D), Pielou (J) and the biotic quality index BMWP-Cr. A total of 1302 species were obtained in 10 orders, 22 families and 26 genera, the most representative genera being Xiphocentron with 37.5%, followed by the genus Baetodes with 33.3%. The application of the Index (QBR) details that forest land use has a better quality of good-intermediate water between the three land uses, while the index (IHF) presents that forest cover has a good-moderate quality. According to the application of the BMWP-Cr index, it was obtained as a result that in the micro-water El Barro prevails the quality of bad water very contaminated (16-35).
