Diseño de un protocolo integral para el manejo seguro y sostenible de productos agroquimicos en la tabacalera tabaredon

The present research work is aimed at the problem related to the inadequate handling of agrochemicals involved in the tobacco production process in the tobacco company. Inappropriate handling entails serious negative impacts on both the health of workers and the environment due to because farmers need to maintain their crops with the application of products such as pesticides, fungicides, insecticides, herbicides, fertilizers, among others. The research will involve the identification of all agrochemicals linked to the production process, detailing their type, presentation and applied dose and frequency of use. With this information, the evaluation of chemical risk by inhalation can be carried out using the coshh essentials methodology and by the French method, the results obtained in both methodologies will allow us to know the level of risk associated with the manipulation of agrochemicals. The development of a protocol for the safe and sustainable management of agrochemicals will allow the establishment of specific measures for the handling of agrochemicals, from the storage stage, application, and final disposal of containers and waste. The objective of the protocol is to promote a change in current practices for handling agrochemicals towards much safer and more responsible methods, in order to reduce the risks associated with the handling of agrochemicals, through the protocol it seeks to influence the behavior of workers. and assume new procedures that reduce exposure to chemicals.
