Резюме:The present investigation was conducted to determine the efficacy of two bio-insecticides, Neem pyroligneous acid and in controlling S. frugiperda in maize, the same that was held on campus The Puebloviejo Guaijas Canton of the Province of Los Rios in 2011. The main objective was to determine the effectiveness of two different doses bioinsecticides on growing corn and identify leaf damage caused by S. frugiperda in each of the different doses. Specifically determine the most appropriate dose for controlling S. frugiperda. The experimental design was split plot with three replications. The planting distance of 80 cm between rows and 20 cm between plants was obtained with a population of 62500 plants per hectare. DMS, statistically significant differences exist between the variables bioinsecticides, length and ear diameter, plant height and weight of 100 grains. An analysis of variance was determined statistical difference between treatments in the variables (plant height, ear insertion, and coverage, length of cob and weight of 100 kernels). The biopesticide Neem showed better results, considering that it was a completely atypical season in relation to the presence of S. frugiperda, whereas the average leaf damage was more severe in plants treated with the biopesticide, pyroligneous acid in the medium dose and low 1200 cc 900 cc showing a difference of between 0.40 and 0.43 with respect to the scale used, taking into account the culture age, the most serious attack occurred in the third and fourth week of crop establishment. Treatments with the biopesticide Neem (Azadirachta indica) showed better results than pyroligneous acid in controlling S. frugiperda, allowing greater control to hybrid grain response, but with the application of chemical insecticide (cypermethrin) the performance achieved were higher than with Neem and bioinsecticides pyroligneous acid which means greater cost benefit to applications Cypermethrin
