Riassunto:This research work was carried out in the rainy season of the 2018 2019 period, determining the production costs of the corn crop of the members of the Immaculate Association, which had as a general objective to evaluate the production and profitability of the corn crop (Zea corn) in the Association of agricultural producers ¨La Immaculate¨ in the canton El Empalme. The methods used in this investigation were the comparative which allowed to know the differences and similarities in the production process of each of the producers and the analytical which led to the understanding of the problems observed during the investigation, after the application of Surveys and observations. When performing the economic analysis, it was determined that the total average cost of corn / hectare production varies between $ 1.037.35 and $ 1.300.11, with a variable cost that fluctuates between $ 887.35 and $ 1.150.11. The highest average production cost was recorded in the Emblema hybrid without subsidy, differing by $ 281.93 from the Thunder hybrid with subsidized technological package that registered the lowest production cost. The subsidy through the technological package valued at $ 180.00 influenced the decrease in the total cost of production and the achievement of greater economic benefits. The cost benefit ratio of the corn producers of the La Immaculate Association, which are between 1.23 and 1.94, was compared, which indicates that a return of $ 23 to $ 0.94 is generated for every dollar invested. It is observed that the average price of corn is between $ 10.00 and $ 12.50 per quintal, while the average unit cost of producing a quintal is between $ 6.37 and $ 9.76. The SOMMA hybrid with a subsidy with greater profitability 94.13% surpassed the Thunder hybrid with greater profitability without subsidy by 40.98%. The producers of the Immaculate association are over 41 years old, among them it was found that there are 13% who are women and 87% are men, of which 40% finished their primary studies. It was observed that 53% of the producers have their own cement housing, which has four to six members in the household, have electricity, mobile telephony and public transport. In addition to producing corn, it was established that they also produce cocoa, bananas, livestock, pigs, and 33% are day laborers that allow them to generate income for the support of their families.
