Zusammenfassung:In the province of Esmeraldas is trying to produce industrial scale quail (Coturnix coturnix japonica), without considering environmental aspects, food, light, density and density of breeding birds for optimum posture. This research was conducted in the parish of San Mateo, Esmeraldas Province, located at kilometer 12 road Esmeraldas - Quinindé, geographically located at 79 º 53 'west longitude 15''de 0 º 53' 00 "north latitude, height 24 meters., and lasted 6 months, had as main objective to assess the influence of population density in the position of quail. For this study we used 720 quail, experimental units consisted of 30, 40, 50 and 60 birds. We used a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and four replicates. To determine the statistical differences between means were applied multiple range test of Tukey (P <0.05). The experimental measurements were: feed intake, egg weight, laying rate, egg diameter longitudinal, transverse diameter of the egg, egg number and economic analysis. The results were: animal consumption days, treatment 4 (60 quail m2) reported the highest consumption with 26.10 g per animal. 30 m2 quail treatment (T1) as the most productive with 75 eggs on average at the end of the investigation. 40 quail m2 treatment shows the highest position with 83.08 percentage. The treatment 60 quail m2 (T4) had the highest gross income $ 294.48, the best cost / benefit ratio for treatment, the treatment was recorded in 40 quail m2 (T2)
