| Crynodeb: | AGROEDÉN CIA. Ltda.'s A producer and exporter of pineapples in which 230 employees work, which markets the product to Chile (50%), United States (40%) and Europe (10%), being important to comply with international standards, which require the eradication of snails in the crown of the fruit, with the objective of this research to design an automated system of fumigation and disinfection process pineapple packed in the company "AGROEDEN CIA. LTDA." Canton of Santo Domingo. To diagnose the current situation of the company, the production processes of packaged fruit was analyzed, based on the deductive approach, inductive and descriptive, calculating a 13% inefficiency due to returns boxes and exported abroad by snails found in the crown of the pineapple, which is why the design of a production system that includes an automated system for fumigation and disinfection of pineapple, as an alternative to minimize returns of goods, which was proposed to be they used flowcharts, flow distribution plant, designing the automated system for cleaning and disinfection of pineapples, impacting on increasing the capacity of this production process by 33% and recovering economic loss estimated at about $29.512,96. The total investment for the implementation of the proposal are in the amount of $ 7,976.10 of which fixed investment amounts to the sum of $ 5,006.10, while operating costs correspond to $ 2.970,00, to be recovered in one year generating an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 140,40% and a net present value (NPV) of $12.551,34 higher than the initial investment of $ 5.006,10, the benefit cost ratio equal to 2,50, which shows the technical - economic feasibility of the proposal. |
