Riassunto:The main objective of the present research project was to evaluate the initial growth of Ochroma pyramidale (Cav. ex. Lam.) Urb. pyramidale seedlings at nursery level using a pre-germinative treatment and three treatments of different substrates. pyramidale at nursery level using a pre-germinative treatment and three treatments of different substrates, The research was conducted at the Experimental farm ''La Maria'' was used a Completely Randomized Design with four replications, Three substrates were developed, which were: T1 (Control) T2 (Soil 75% + sowing soil 25%), T3 (Black soil 75% + lettuce compost 25%) and T4 (Black soil 75% + coconut fiber 25%), the survival percentages were evaluated; also the variables height, stem diameter, number of leaves and root length of the seedlings were measured, it was done using the field forms. For the survival percentage, 100 seeds were sown for each experimental unit; with a total of 400 seeds of the species under study and for the measurements of the variables of height, diameter, number of leaves and root length, only 10 seedlings were considered. The research provided the following results: the highest percentage of survival was presented in the T4 substrate with 91% and 29.67% respectively. In this same substrate, the highest average variables of height (19.33 cm), diameter (3.70 cm), root length (11.35 cm) and number of leaves (9 leaves) were determined. Likewise, this same treatment presented the highest cost, with a total of USD 35.51.
