| Sammanfattning: | This research project focused on digital government and its impact on the administrative processes of the Municipal Decentralized Autonomous Government of the canton of Valencia during the year 2023. The main objective is to evaluate the impact of digital government on the efficiency of administrative processes. The GAD Valencia faces slow development in the adoption of digital government, limited by the lack of modern technologies and financial resources, this restricts citizens' access to municipal services, making more efficient and faster management difficult. Resistance to change among officials and citizens, along with a lack of training, contributes to poor care and distrust of digital services. The Digital Government in the Canton of Valencia has not shown significant progress in the modernization of its administrative processes, in contrast to what is observed in other municipalities such as Quito. In this canton, the implementation of digital platforms for the management of procedures has made it possible to reduce response times and increase transparency in public administration. For the canton of Valencia, it is crucial to learn from the successful experiences and common mistakes of these municipalities, in order to maximize the positive impact of Digital Government in its administrative processes. This research employed a mixed approach, utilizing inductive and deductive methods, to collect quantitative data. Surveys were conducted among the population of the Valencia canton and the departmental head of the ICT area was interviewed to understand perceptions about digitalization and its impact on the effectiveness of administrative processes. The results revealed a lack of adaptation to change among employees in the use of digital tools, and strategies were proposed for implementing services on the website through the use of digital government to reduce response times. Finally, the creation of a municipal procedures strategy helps to optimize administrative processes. This study not only contributed to professional knowledge about digital government, but also provided recommendations to improve public management in the GAD of the canton of Valencia, facilitating a more transparent, accessible and efficient administration for citizens. |
