Establecimiento de un área paisajística con plantas ornamentales en la finca experimental “La Represa” de la Universidad Técnica Estatal de Quevedo en el sector fayta, parroquia San Carlos, cantón Quevedo, provincia de Los Ríos

This research was conducted in the Experimental Farm "The Dam" State Technical University of Quevedo, located at km 7.5 in the line Quevedo- Babahoyo in the neighbourhood Fayta, parish San Carlos, cantón Quevedo, province of Los Rios. The objective of this research was to establish a scenic area with ornamental plants in the Experimental farm "The Dam" with the aim of making this a more welcoming place, considering the beautification of a place makes the community have a better care and appreciation for nature. Ornamental plants provide aesthetic, because of the color of their flowers, so that they are attractive to the eye of people visiting the area. To determine the tastes and preferences of the population survey was conducted Quevedo Canton, where 100% acceptance to the implementation of a scenic area with ornamental plants was obtained. The study also allowed, select and describe existing plants in the nursery UTEQ, which formed part of the landscape of the area, with varied vegetation such as palms, shrubs, herbaceous, perennial herbs. With these plants it was established the scenic area in an area of 1407.5 square meters, using a total of 3,025 ornamental plants located in areas of the circuit, rest and boundary also raw material of the estate for the construction of tables, seating, chairs and lookout.
