El problema actual sobre la disminución de las reservas de fósiles ha generado la búsqueda de otras alternativas, en donde no contengan un alto índice contaminante en su combustión tales como el uso del etanol. Ciertamente, en varios países han producido el etanol con el uso del maíz.
