Sumari:This research work contains general objective is to run a Performance Audit to the academic services of the Education Unit "Six of October", the Ventanas Canton, 2013, for the purpose of determining the efficiency, effectiveness and economy of management Human Resource and institutional resources available to provide quality educational services, since it is one of the oldest and largest of Windows and likewise schools with large numbers of students. The research project was developed by applying scientific methods as inductive and analytical - synthetic; It is based on field research, literature and descriptive. The instruments used for data collection was the interview managers, survey teachers and students of the institution and internal control questionnaires to the rector of the institution to detect weaknesses it has in the different areas of the campus, the same they have not allowed it to develop efficiently in education and thus feasible alternatives and make recommendations to help improve institutional management and teaching performance. The work considered the Auditing Standards and education laws and the General State Comptroller. The specific findings indicate that the school does not meet the corporate goals reflecting a 33.33% this indicates a failure of the strategic plan by the authorities; activities in the institution are not satisfactory because the staff is not trained, the staff does not meet the professional profile for positions in relation to their professional title and the campus does not have enough staff to carry out their duties teaching. Finally we recommend the institution according to the weaknesses identified in order that the ultimate authority to take corrective and continuous improvement measures campus.
