| Summary: | The general objective of this research was to develop a recruitment and selection procedure to optimize employee performance at the microenterprise Claritex, located in the Buena Fe canton. The study was based on three specific objectives: identifying the current hiring process through interviews with the manager; determining the factors that affect employee performance through surveys; and proposing a structured model based on the identified needs. The methodology used was descriptive with a qualitative-quantitative approach, which allowed for a combination of data collection techniques such as semi-structured interviews with the manager and surveys administered to operational staff. Visual tools such as flowcharts and matrices were also designed to structure a comprehensive model for the recruitment and selection process and a model for the training and performance evaluation process for employees at the Claritex microenterprise. Among the most relevant findings, it was identified that the current selection process is informal, lacking defined technical criteria. Furthermore, it was evident that factors such as interpersonal conflicts, lack of specific training, work distractions, and the pay-for-performance system negatively impact staff performance. As a result, a structured model was designed that includes a detailed recruitment and selection process, a technical and behavioral training plan, and a performance evaluation matrix. This model aims to professionalize human talent management, improve the organizational climate, and increase productivity, without altering the employer's internal compensation policies. |
