La pesca artesanal y su importancia en la economía de los integrantes de la asociación de producción pesquera 18 de Octubre cantón Quevedo, provincia Los Ríos, 2017

The present research project titled Artisanal Fishing and its Importance in the Economy of the Members of the Fishing Production Association October 18, Cantón Quevedo, Los Ríos Province, 2017, was carried out during the months of July 2017 to March 2018, considering as one of the objectives of artisanal fishing and its economic importance in the Province of Los Ríos, assuming the types of inductive research which allowed us to make an observation of the study and the experimentation of the economy in order to reach its real financial status and analytical allowed us to analyze the information collected, the field studies in this way to reach the desired objectives and obtain respective conclusions and recommendations. The research carried out was attended by 60 associates dedicated to this activity, who provided the information required to obtain the data that were subsequently processed in the Microsoft Excel statistical program to obtain the results. In which it was determined that the partners carry out this activity between the months of August to December, summer time, the fish with the most demand in the Province of Los Ríos is the bocachico (Prochilodus nigricans). Artisanal fishing is one of the oldest methods of subsistence of Ecuador and if it is a method of additional favorable economic subsistence. Keywords: Artisanal Fishing, Economy, Fishing Production
