الملخص:The cultivation of soybeans (Glycine max L.), is of great economic importance for farmers in more than eight cantons of the province of Los Ríos, that is why this research project was developed under the general objective "To evaluate the effect of the application of edaphic and foliar fertilizers in soybean (Glycine max L.)”. The investigation was carried out at the “Don Alberto” farm, located in the Aguas Frías area of the Ventanas canton, Los Ríos prov-ince, at coordinates 1° 25' 18.28' ' South latitude and 79° 27' 43,19 '' west longitude, at a height of 39 meters above sea level and flat topography. A single factor was studied: fertili-zation, 5 treatments were developed in which the effect of the application of edaphic (urea, DAP and muriate potassium) and foliar (evergreen, complefol especial and novaplex) ferti-lizers were evaluated. After tabulation of the data obtained and followed by the respective statistical analysis, relevant results were obtained as a result of the application of the detailed treatments, highlighting the combination of soil fertilizers containing NPK + evergreen (Fo-liar biostimulant), said treatment caused a great effect on the height of the plant at 53 days registering values of 71.75 cm, the same combination of fertilizers (Edaphic and Foliar) also influenced the number of pods per plant reflecting an average of 47.75, a value that was statistically higher than the other treatments studied. Despite the fact that in the weight var-iable of 100 grains the NPK treatment registered the highest average weight with 13.25 g (11.7% humidity), the values mentioned in the average of pods per plant were decisive to show the influence of treatment # 1 (NPK + Evergreen) the yield, where the mentioned com-bination yielded an average of 2200, 30 kg / ha, statistically higher than the other yields obtained. It should be noted that irrigation, a water source, played an important role for the good filling of the pod and therefore a good grain weight and crop yield. The profitability of the crop was higher in the application of the novaplex foliar with 47.05% despite having a yield of 1871.13 kg / ha. In conclusion; NPK + Evergreen applications positively influenced direct performance variables, such as plant height, number of pods and yield, but not, the highest profitability fell on the treatment of applications with Novaplex, which generated the second lowest yield, but its total cost was the lowest among the products and combinations studied.
