| Résumé: | The present research work has as its objective the design and construction of a multifunctional machine used in the manufacturing process of furniture or elements made of wood. The study began with the elaboration of the house of quality with the purpose of interpreting correctly the user's requirements in order to convert them into technical aspects, then the method of modulation of the machine was applied, highlighting as the most important mechanisms the power transmission system, wood cutting, edger, mortiser, shaper, shaper and blade sharpening of which, the most appropriate alternative was selected according to the weighted criteria method. The design began with the estimation of power and loads to be developed in each of the functions of the machine and therefore in its axes, which are designed by static analysis with a safety factor of 2, determining the stresses and fatigue strength limit at the critical location obtaining a minimum safety factor of 4.1 using the Goodman-modified fatigue failure criterion. Using SolidWorks CAD software, the structure and components of the machine were modeled by applying ergonomic criteria for standing work in its dimensions, as well as static analysis of its components, by means of simulations with estimated loads in ANSYS software. Workshop and assembly drawings were prepared, which provide the technical information of the elements to be used in the construction of the machine. A test protocol was carried out to evaluate the correct operation of the multifunctional machine built, the evaluation was executed in the "Zambrano" cabinetmaking workshop, being approved by its personnel. A maintenance plan was elaborated for each one of the elements of the machine, as well as the selection of the recommended lubricant for its preventive maintenance. Keywords: multifunctional machine, static shaft design, fatigue design of shafts, test protocol, concurrent design. |
