Riassunto:Bovine tuberculosis is a bacterial zoonotic disease, whose etiological agent is Mycobacterium bovis, affecting mainly cattle, although it has also been found in some domestic animals, wild animals and even in humans. The objective of the present investigation was to determine the prevalence of M. bovis through the evaluation of lung tissue obtained in the municipal slaughterhouse of the Valencia canton through the LAMP technique, a total of 200 animals were sampled in a period of eight consecutive weeks. , at the end of the sampling, evidence was obtained that, of the 200 animals sampled, a total of 123 were positive for tuberculosis, representing 61.5% of the total. On the other hand, 52.5% of the samples taken from the animals slaughtered in the municipal slaughterhouse of the Valencia canton correspond to the Holstein race, followed by 31.5% of the Brahman race and 11 and 5% correspond to the Brown breed swiss and Nelore respectively. 68.5 of the samples were taken in females and 31.5% corresponded to males. The vast majority of the animals sampled were adult animals, representing 47% of animals aged 6 to 8 years, 26.5% of animals aged 3 to 4 years, and animals of 4 to 5 years. Of the animals that were sampled, the majority came from the canton of La Maná, with 39.5%, followed by 25% from Valencia, 9.5 from La Unión, as well as Pujilí, as well as samples from animals from Quevedo, El Vergel and Pucayacu represented by a 7; 5; 4.5% respectively, in relation to the weight, it was not possible to obtain data given the physical conditions of the municipal slaughterhouse of the Valencia canton, the distrust of the producers and the speed of the slaughter process, a prevalence of 0.615% was determined.
